Hatha

In sanskrit ha(sun) and tha(moon) is the physical practice of yoga. Our hatha classes integrate breath, movement and alignment.  The culmination of these elements allows one to connect with a deeper sense of inner awareness. The class begins and ends with a centering, meditative exercise and pranayama.
What you can expect: Poses are held for several breaths. A thoroughly balanced practice in which poses and counterposes are threaded together for a deeply nourishing and satisfying practice.
Benefits: Strengthen, tone and lengthen the body. Spinal health and improved mobility. Increased lung capacity. Calm, and centre the mind-state.

Vinyasa Flow

In sanskrit, vinyasa quite litterally means to “place in a special way”. Our vinyasa classes are designed to intelligently thread asana (poses) to one another in a fluid and graceful way… meditation in motion.
What you can expect: A centering, yet physically challenging class. Strong beginners are welcome, as we encourage an understanding of asana fundamentals before trying this class.
Benefits: Build stamina, strength and flexibility through the flowing of asana (poses). Great for cardiovascular health and increasing lung capacity.

Gentle and Restorative Flow

Harmonize body and mind. This class is designed to release postural stress and may help to reduce aches and pains. Breathing techniques help to calm and centre the mind-state. This class is a perfect way to end your day.
What you can expect: This class begins with gentle yoga flows and sequences which will increase mobility in the muscles and joints. Finishes off with classical restorative poses to relax and rejuvinate.
Benefits: Increased mobility. A soothing and therapeutic practice for both body and spirit.

Savour your Sundays – Slow flow & Stretch

Slow it down… this class is designed for practitioners of all levels. Take the time to discover full range of movement in the joints and muscles. Some classes may also end with refreshing restorative poses.
What to expect: A satisfying and nourishing practice. Gentle and sometimes passive stretches to lengthen tight and constricted parts of the body.
Benefits: Spinal health and increased mobility in the joints. Lengthened muscles and improved circulation.

Hatha Release

A class that focuses on challenging the body by working with the breath to find expansion in areas of the body that might be tight or limited in flexibility. Through the physical release stillness can begin to be acquired in the mind, leaving you with a sense of a deepening of the body, mind and spirit.
What to expect: Longer holds and a slower transition from pose to pose.
Benefits:In this class you will hold poses for longer while paying attention to the breath to help build strength and release tension in the body. Philosphical themes and meditation will be weaved throughout the class.
